Gale appointed to Harper Bernays board

Harper Bernays has announced Andrew Gale will be joining its board as a non-executive director.

Gale recently stepped down as chair of the SMSF Association after serving a two-year term.

The private investment manager said it believes Gale’s skills will make a valuable contribution to the firm’s future development.

“Various members of our staff and board have had the pleasure of working with Andrew in a variety of roles over many years,” Harper Bernays chairman Peter Harper said today.

“We know Andrew well and have come to appreciate his considerable skills and knowledge of the financial services industry.

“For his part, in advance of joining the board, Andrew already knew our business well. Our directors and staff welcome him making a strong contribution to our growth in coming years.”

Gale was the chief executive of Count Financial in the period leading up to its purchase by and integration into Commonwealth Bank of Australia in 2011.
