BGL unveils actuarial certificates functionality

SMSF software specialist BGL today announced it had released the Act2 Actuarial Certificate Service through its web-based administration offering, Simple Fund 360, with more actuarial certificate providers to come.

“It has been a busy 15 months for us since the initial release of Simple Fund 360 in March last year,” BGL managing director Ron Lesh said.

“We have focused on adding the features and functions our clients tell us they need, including BGL SmartPost for auto-matching multiple transactions, bank and wrap data feeds, electronic lodgement of SMSF annual returns with the ATO through standard business reporting (SBR), corporate actions, audit working papers and a huge number of reports.

“Actuarial certificates are the next step in our development cycle.”

BGL will add further actuarial certificate providers to Simple Fund 360 over the next few months.

“Our clients are telling us every day just how much they are benefiting from the huge compliance, efficiency and productivity benefits provided by this state-of-the-art application,” Lesh said.

Act2 Solutions director Andy O’Meagher said the announcement was an exciting next step forward.

“We have had marvellous integration with BGL desktop since April 2011, now we have the opportunity to provide an even faster and more efficient compliance solution for BGL Simple Fund 360 clients,” O’Meagher said.

BGL has almost 800 clients using Simple Fund 360.

In February, BGL became registered to lodge the annual returns of funds electronically with the ATO via the government’s SBR facility for users of Simple Fund 360.
